- 2016 Awards Gala - Celebrate NBCT's finest on and off stage -

- The NBCT Award Categories-

Junior Stage Craft Award - This is for young performers under 14 years of age who demonstrate, not only ability, but have an understanding of good stage technique and are part of the theatre team. Attitude plays a huge role in the awarding of this honor and the recipient has shown an exemplary attitude and a firm grasp of theatre craft.

Pat Burton Award -The Pat Burton award is named in honor of a long time friend of NBCT. Pat was a director with the Fairfield Harbour Players and an advocate of excellence in theatre. The award is for young performer’s ages 14 to 18 years of age who exhibit excellence, commitment and teamwork in the theatre. This honor also recognizes you thespians that are responsible and thorough in their approach to NBCT.

Tom Landen Award for Technical Excellence - This award is given to the person or persons who have provided the productions of the past year and the theatre in general with outstanding technical assistance.

Presidents Award - The Presidents award is awarded by the board President on behalf of New Bern Civic Theatre Board of Directors.

The Artistic Achievement Award - This honor is given to the person who has demonstrated outstanding achievements artistically. (Set design, dressing, costume, painting, and lighting)

Executive Directors Award -This award is given to the person who has demonstrated strength, perseverance, integrity, and exceeded expectations that helped to make the past season a success.

Volunteer of the year award - The Volunteer of the Year is presented to the person deemed most valuable by the Theatre as a whole.

Outstanding Musical Achievement Award - This award is intended to recognize excellence in music. Music is the life blood of NBCT. It sets the mood, stirs the emotions and delivers the zest we must have to a viable community theatre.

Outstanding Performer of the Year Award - This award is given to the person whose performance made an impact with our audience members as well as their peers.
